Farzana Haque is a powerhouse of talent and an inspiration for Indians. Starting as a management trainee in the Tata group and working her way up to her current senior leadership position at TCS, Farzana has played a key role in the transition of TCS from a local champion to a Global giant. She has implemented complex technology programs and built platforms for Fortune 100 companies at locations across the world.She has planned and executed first generation outsourcing deals and the digital roadmap for major global customers. Farzana is a strong believer in women empowerment & gender equality, grassroot entrepreneurship, the use of technology towards driving results & creating better communities, and thereby contributing to nation building.
Farzana was born into a family of teachers, civil servants, armed forces and freedom fighters, which for generations also has had strong women. She believes, with hard work, integrity and a gracious spirit, there is no goal one cannot achieve. The importance of serving the community was instilled in her from early childhood and it has inspired her to be a part of India’s growth story on the global front.
She has created global impact and has been instilling hope and belief for big dreams in girls, working towards increasing the participation of women in India’ economic growth story. She believes entrepreneurship is an imperative for the scale of job creation India needs and is actively working on taking entrepreneurship to grassroots levels across India, beyond the large metros. Her ‘Global Platform for Women Entrepreneurs’ enables them to realize their potential. It helps provide equal opportunities for women in India and helps build an ecosystem that allows women entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and empowers them to lead life on their own terms, and in so doing changes the dominant narrative in India.
