Structured Mentorship for augmenting your career
I am the CEO of Network Capital and the CMO of 5ire, a blockchain unicorn. Previously I worked at Microsoft for 7 years. A mechanical engineer by training, I studied Moral Philosophy at the University of Oxford and earned my MBA from INSEAD where I was the Andy Burgess Scholar for Social Entrepreneurship. I was also the Torchbearer of the founding cohort of Ashoka University’s Young India Fellowship and a Chevening Fellow at the University of Oxford. I have invested in over 20 startups and am passionate about enabling people and organizations to build their category of one. I write for Harvard Business Review and have published two books by Penguin and Sage. You can find more information online.

Every year, I take on 25 students and young professionals for 1:1 mentoring. I would have liked to do more, but don’t have more time.

The process is simple.

Step 1: We jointly set your goals for the year ahead.

Step 2: We track those goals weekly over 1:1 calls. During these calls, I identify the gaps between your preparedness and your aspiration. Thereafter, I help bridge the gaps by sharing what I have learned over the years and connecting you with people who can catalyze your success.

Step 3: We test your progress every month through structured, time-bound assignments.

Why does this program exist?

Structured mentorship works. It has enabled thousands of Network Capital users to achieve their goals. They have gone on to raise funds from top-tier investors, got into the most prestigious schools, cracked top jobs, and built a powerful network along the way.

This program is designed for highly ambitious people. You may not have had a great career so far but you must look forward to doing something special in the years ahead. If not, it won’t be a good use of your time or mine.

I keep my mentees motivated but they often get open and direct feedback which could be difficult to grapple with if you are not driven to build your category of one. I go the extra mile to ensure you succeed and expect you to do the same.

What is the time commitment?

1 hour/ week

How can you apply to be part of this program?

You can apply through this link. I will get back to you for a short interview (30 minutes) and let you know if I can take you on in a week or less.

All the best. I look forward to reading your application.
